Starting up the Saw Mill...

This past weekend Grandpa T got the saw mill up and running again!

We are coming up on the year anniversary of the barn burning.  We had a lot of losses this past year but we can only look forward.  It has been a gradual process since we can't stop doing chores and focus 100% on the barn...
But they are getting there....
This is the hoop part of the barn and now Grandpa T and Farmer Chris are making the boards for the sides!  Many people helped make this possible...just one of the things that we are thankful for this year!

The above drawing was done by Chris a couple weeks after the fire to show the kids what we are hoping for some day!

As we sit down to dinner at Christmas we will have many things to be thankful for...our health, our family and the lovely friends and customers that support us!

We wish you all a wonderful and happy Merry Christmas (Holiday)!

Love,

Michelle

Family time on the farm...

As most of you know, we live in the city and farmer Chris travels to the farm daily.  Well this past weekend at the last minute we decided to camp on the farm.  This means we get to eat dinner with Richard and his family and then camp (of course with chores down in between).  A couple years ago my father in law (Grandpa T)started building a cabin on the farm, which is where myself, Chris, Cyrus, Jorja May and Jones slept...Jackson and Kyra slept in a tent.  What a wonderful weekend...the weather was great and we got to spend time doing something we love --- being together!

The girls in an old whole the pigs dug!

Jorja May doing chores!

Getting closer to having a warm space for baby pigs in the winter!

The barn posts are in!

The campfire and the tent Kyra and Jackson slept in!

We wrote secrets and threw them in the fire...

Ahhh the colors of fall!

Grandpa T's Cabin we stayed in!
We hope you were able to enjoy this wonderful weekend!
